International Keynote Speakers Announced for 2025 FutureAG Expo powered by AGRITECHNICA

Two international keynote speakers have been announced for FutureAG powered by AGRITECHNICA 2025, which is set to return to the Melbourne Showgrounds, Ascot Vale, Victoria on 6th – 8th August.

Bringing the latest in agricultural machinery, innovation, and sustainable farming practices to centre stage once again, FutureAG powered by AGRITECHNICA will exclusively welcome Deputy Managing Director of the DLG Competence Centre, Erik Guttulsröd, as well as Independent Consultant for Agricultural Digitalisation, Konrad Harbot as keynotes at the event.

Mike Nissen, Commercial Director at Hannover Fairs said FutureAG Expo 2025 is more than just an exhibition, it’s a hub of innovation and opportunity — bringing together cutting-edge solutions, global expertise, and international exhibitors under one roof.

“Following the success of our inaugural event, we’re excited to return in 2025, bigger and better with two exclusive international speakers, more exhibitors, more innovation, and more voices in the conversation about the future of agriculture,” he said.

The DLG Competence Centre is a hub within the German Agricultural Society (DLG) dedicated to agricultural knowledge and innovation. Erik Guttulsröd will be joined at the event by Konrad Harbort an arable farm digitalisation specialist.

“FutureAG is about bringing the industry together to explore what’s next and drive real change for our industry on the ground,” said Mr Nissan.

“Erik and Konrad will speak on their pioneering work on green sustainability, sustainable productivity and precision farming – including how that relates to Australia and our agriculture industry.”

Hosted by Hannover Fairs Australia in partnership with DLG (German Agricultural Society), FutureAG Expo 2025, provides a national platform for farmers, manufacturers, suppliers, researchers, and industry leaders to connect, explore new technologies, and shape the future of Australian agriculture.

With a trade exhibition and conference program running in parallel across the three-day event, the FutureAG Expo 2025 Conference will bring industry leaders together under this year’s theme: “Transformative Farming Efficiency,” with Day One focussing on the latest in Ag Innovation, Day Two unpacking the Business of Ag, and Day Three will champion People Power – bolstering the workforce, building careers, upskilling on farm.

Representing Farmers2Founders, Pete Walsh, Head of Technology and Alice Faeth, AgTech Specialist are amongst the first speakers announced for the conference program. Speaking to The Future of Agrifood Tech: Embracing Emerging Technologies and Cutting Through the Hype: Smarter, Safer Decisions when Investing in AgTech respectively. Lachie Vogt, Founder & Director Algorithm will present Farming with Algorithms: AI, Satellites and the Next Agricultural Revolution, and Belinda Lay, Business Partner, Coolindown Farm will share her thoughts about how AgTech and data can put producers in the driver’s seat.

The program also includes dynamic panel discussions on climate action, mental health and farm safety, and building drought resilience through collaborative innovation.

“The conference is a forum where big ideas are shared, real challenges are tackled, and the future of our industry is shaped,” said Mr Nissen.

“It brings together thought leaders, innovators, and producers for meaningful conversations to drive progress across Australian agriculture.”

The exhibition section of the FutureAG Expo 2025 will showcase future-oriented technologies like automation, data integration, and next-generation farming solutions, driving innovation across the agribusiness sector. The exhibition primarily focuses on agricultural machinery and crop production; however, given that many crop farmers in Australia also engage in extensive livestock farming, this will serve as the second key focus of the event.

With strong market potential and serious buying power on display, the event also features a world-class technical program and valuable networking opportunities for anyone working in or with the agricultural sector.

“We recognise that as technology and innovation continue to advance in the ag sector, farmers and primary producers are eager to explore how they can adopt and apply these developments within their own operations,” said Mr Nissen.

The exhibition provides a key opportunity for the industry to connect, collaborate, and showcase the Future of Ag.”
