The Future of Agrifood Tech: Embracing Emerging Technologies
Globalisation alongside technology iteration is rapidly driving the emergence of new technologies at an unprecedented rate. While some remain simply as
iterations other technologies are poised to have a significantly greater impact on the way we might produce, distribute, and consume food into the future.
This session will look to start a conversation addressing how innovations in space technology, quantum computing, terraforming, deep sea exploration, AI-enabled robotics, and more might impact agriculture. Moreover, it will seek to spark innovation and excitement for how these technologies will reshape the future of the agrifood production system.
3 Key Learnings
- Spark innovation and excitement - this session is designed to encourage attendees to start thinking about how broader technology trends will revolutionise the way they work.
- Start a conversation - this session will provide attendees with a framing of how some of the big trends in technology might change food production.
- Insight into technology potential - participants will gain insight into how adjacent innovations are converging with agriculture, and what that convergence could mean for existing value chains, business models, and workforce needs.
