Brett Worthington
Keynote | Inside the Vault
A team of scientists on the front lines of climate change is helping nature heal itself. They know conflict better than almost any other researchers in the world. Forced out of Syria when a civil war broke out, they became the first people to head into the so-called Doomsday Vault, buried deep in the Norwegian Archipelago, to take back their seeds. Despite all they've faced, they remain optimistic about tackling some of the world's biggest challenges. And yet, as wars rage around them, it’s making their efforts to feed an increasingly hungry globe that much harder.
