This session is for you if you’re getting agri-vibes and wondering what life would be like working on farm or as an agri-professional.  Hear from an experienced leader who has introduced many young career seekers to this industry. Amanda will share stories of what can be achieved through ag education and provide some ideas on the pathways forward.  

About Amanda

Amanda McClaren is an experienced leader in agricultural education, regional development, and community leadership. She teaches Agriculture and Horticulture at Seymour College, where she established the school’s agriculture program and champions hands-on, future-focused learning. Amanda is President of the Victorian Association of Agricultural and Horticultural Educators and a Board Director at the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority. A former Mayor of Strathbogie Shire and Chair of Regional Development Australia (Hume), Amanda also co-runs Yapunyah Farm, a regenerative farming enterprise. She is a graduate of the AICD, Australian Rural Leadership LARC Program, and NFF Diversity in Agriculture Leadership Program.
