Unique Hosted Buyers Program offers Practical Pathway to Innovation for Aussie Farmers

Farmers and producers from across regional Australia are being given a unique opportunity to connect directly with the agtech innovators and suppliers shaping the future of agriculture through the inaugural Hosted Buyers Program at FutureAg Expo 2025.

FutureAg Hosted Buyers

Held at the Melbourne Showgrounds from 6-8 August 2025, FutureAg Expo’s dedicated Hosted Buyers Program is designed to help on-farm decision makers explore the latest advancements in machinery, automation, precision farming, and sustainable practices - with tailored, one-on-one meetings and exclusive access to key innovators.

“The Hosted Buyers Program is about making innovation more accessible and actionable for Australian farmers,” said Mike Nissen, Commercial Director at Hannover Fairs.

“It reflects our commitment to create more targeted and valuable experiences for participants by connecting the right people at the right time and offers key decision makers a no-cost*, time-efficient way to connect directly with suppliers and technologies that can make a real difference on-farm.”

The Hosted Buyers Program will provide farmers exclusive access to industry-leading exhibitors and agricultural suppliers through curated meetings, guided introductions, and exclusive networking sessions, giving them access to networks and expertise they might not typically have access to.

With event discussion panels dedicated to the emergence of automation in agriculture, practical innovation for on the ground drought resilience and tackling gaps within the workforce, the Hosted Buyers Program aims to make it easier for farmers to build useful connections and gain practical, take-home ideas that can support the future of their business.

Key benefits for hosted buyers:

  • Three-day conference ticket to the main stage
  • Free access to FutureAg Expo 2025, including expert panels, live demonstrations and Expo seminar theatre
  • Two nights of free accommodation for eligible attendees
  • A customised itinerary of meetings with relevant agtech providers
  • Access to the Hosted Buyer Lounge for networking and connection opportunities
  • Invitation to the Hosted Buyers Networking Event on 6 August
  • Invitation to the Networking Night on the fairgrounds on 7 August

Whether you’re running a broadacre cropping operation, managing livestock, or looking to cut costs and improve efficiency, the Hosted Buyers Program is a straightforward way to see what’s new - and what actually works,” said Mr Nissen.

“We know that time off the farm is time away from the job, particularly during these challenging times, that’s why this program is about cutting through the noise and making every minute count.”

In addition to the Hosted Buyers Program additional speakers have been announced for the 2025 FutureAg Expo including ABC’s Senior Political Correspondent Brett Worthington, who will present his keynote address Inside the Vault on a team of scientists at the forefront of climate change. Colin Beetles, Chief Executive of Grain Producers Australia, also joins the speaking line up, as well as Hannah Bamford, Founder of Ag Work Solutions and Professor Brendan Rodoni, Research Director, Microbial Sciences, Pests and Diseases, Agriculture Victoria Research.
